Trieste, ItalyIn un mondo sempre più polarizzato è assai facile rendersi consapevoli di quel che ci separa e ci rende diversi. Per proteggere il nostro senso di identità tendiamo a rigettare le cose per noi aliene.Ma, se vogliamo costruire un mondo di comprensione e collaborazione dobbiamo imparare non soltanto a convivere con la diversità ma ad abbracciarla. Arricchisce le nostre vite.Do il benvenuto alla focalizzazione sulla diversità da parte del Festival Mondiale delle Relazioni Pubbliche. La comunicazione è al cuore di una società costruita sul rispetto e la comprensione degli altri. In an increasingly polarised world it is very easy to become aware of the things that separate us and make us different. To protect our own sense of identity we tend to reject those things that are alien to us. However, if we are to build a world where there is cooperation and understanding we must not only learn to live with difference but to embrace it. It enriches all our lives.I welcome the World Public Relations Festival's focus on diversity. Communication is at the heart of building a society based on mutual respect and understanding. It is vitally important therefore that communicators themselves understand the issues of diversity. I wish you well in your deliberations.
