Program Overview:Differences and disagreements have too often characterized world conversation in this still-young 21st century. Continents and countries, those who lead them and those who live in them talk but do not engage in dialogue. They hear but do not listen. Cultural, religious, political and economic divides lead to message and media failures. Can we learn to communicate, in the very best two-way sense of what makes communication effective? What can be the role of public relations in creating greater world dialogue and understanding? This two-day seminar brings together some of today's leading diplomats, scholars, humanitarians and journalists to examine what's wrong with the world communication environment and even more importantly, to offer perspectives on how we can create communication successes.
